Shakespeare Sedona
Benefit Will Be First-Rate

For the second consecutive year, Broadway actor Patrick Page returns to the Enchantment Resort for an evening of music and dinner theatre to benefit Shakespeare Sedona. Love's Labour's Won, starring Page and Shakespeare Sedona favorite, Nicole Poole, features some of Shakespeare's most fiery love scenes.

It takes place one week after Valentine's Day, Monday, February 21. Some of you may remember Page and Poole from The Hamlet Project, presented last summer at the Sedona Arts Center.

This time, they are paired together as Shakespeare's love-sparing couples: Petruchio and Kate, Romeo and Juliet, Richard III and Lady Anne, to name a few. Love's Labour's Won hits the stage at Enchantment's elegant Pavilion.

The evening begins at 6:15 on the patio with Shakespeare sonnets prepared by students of Verde Valley School's theatre department, followed by a scrumptious dinner catered by Enchantment's Head Chef Kevin McGuire, at 7 pm. The entertainment begins at 8 pm.

The benefit is a wonderful way to support Sedona's very own Shakespeare Festival now entering its third year. This summer, Shakespeare Sedona plans to present three productions; A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Sedona Cultural Park in June, followed by Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night, presented in rotation at Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, during the month of July.

For a second summer, Shakespeare Sedona will present a free lecture series at the Sedona Public Library, featuring faculty and artists on a variety of subjects. The Shakespeare Sedona Institute will continue its three weeks of professional actor training, now in its third summer. Tickets for Love's Labour's Won includes dinner and wine. Reserve your tickets to this very special event by calling (520) 284-2080.
